Table Mountain Fund Projects

The Table Mountain Fund is a capital Conservation Trust Fund that develops and funds projects to protect and restore the world-famous Fynbos habitat. To date, The Table Mountain Fund has invested close to R100 million in over 350 projects across the Fynbos biome. These projects range from purchasing important conservation land and engaging landowners in sustainable land management, to funding applied research, and supporting civil society to carry out innovative conservation projects in high value conservation areas. Conservation Outcomes has been fortunate in receiving funding from the TMF for a number of projects over the past years, including:

  • The development of the Verification and Validation process for the regularisation of Private Nature Reserves in the Western Cape.
  • The improvement of management effectiveness for Biodiversity Stewardship site protected areas in the Western Cape.
  • Breede Estuary Management Support project.
  • Support to the Cape Leopard Trust conservation project, supporting their biodiversity stewardship implementation for key Leopard corridors.
  • Support to the Greater Kromme Stewardship initiative, supporting their biodiversity stewardship implementation for important biodiversity areas in the Eastern Cape extent of the Cape Floristic Region.
