Addo Elephant National Park / Mountain Zebra National Park expansion opportunities

Through its recent Vision 2040 process, South African National Parks (SANParks) has developed a bold plan for extensive protected area expansion through the creation of new national parks and the catalysing of large landscape scale conservation action. One of the areas in which opportunities exist for large, landscape-level protected area expansion is in the Greater Addo landscape connecting the Addo Elephant National Park to Camdeboo and Mountain Zebra National Parks. Conservation Outcomes, through generous funding from The Nature Conservancy (TNC), is supporting SANParks in updating the potential protected area expansion plans for Addo Elephant National Park and Mountain Zebra National Park, exploring potential areas of connectivity.
